#15 - Portrait

Went back to my tried and true first love of portrait painting for Day 15 of the 30 day challenge.  I am still working on this but need to post before I have to run off to take care of other essential things that need doing.

Day 4 - return to beach

Today I attempted a quick one hour painting for Day 4 of 30 in 30 days challenge.  Had a major disaster and it was wiped off after a spill of turpentine, so I am posting a very recent quick painting - the beach in Hawaii instead.

I got a start on the next painting in my winter series and am feeling good about it.  Once it's dry will start with some colour tomorrow.

Get loose

My name is Mud - 8x10 oil on wood panel

In order to loosen up I am back to doing some small, quick paintings.  Daily Paintworks is a good website for inspiration as it has weekly challenges - this week's challenge is to paint your art supplies.  So I threw down what was on my table and whipped this off in an hour.  It is not fully complete, but I really like the loose feel of it.  Mud is the stuff at the bottom off the cleaning jar.
